Always Strive and Prosper / Photography Editor, Tudor Etchells
So it's been a very busy few months here at AYLY. Since succesfully hosting a launch party for zine two, a two week exhibition of contributors work and a spoken word night, we've expanded our editorial team and have been collecting work for our third zine, REVOLT. Due to the volume of work submitted this time round, we've decicded to make a few changes about how and when we publish your creative submissions including the launch of a brand spanking new blog!
We want to create a dynamic online platform to publish art, illustration, photography, short films, poetry and articles by young people aged 16-25; expanding our ever growing pool of frustrated and inspired creative voices. Collecting and sharing creativity reaches new possibilities online, and we're ready to take the plunge.
We will be accepting work all year round via the submissions form on our website and via facebook and will select our favourites for the zine, which we will continue to print for as long as we can find funding. Our online blog will allow us to publish more work, comission exciting topical features and gives us an even more international reach. We will still be hosting events in Cardiff and London, our two lovely UK bases, but will be open to submissions from far further afield.
