Scott Hansen, aka Tycho, is a composer, songwriter and producer who creates progressive and futuristic compositions.
He uses the most simple of audio samples - ranging from weather broadcasts to just plain old breathing - which gives his music a unique and interesting edge. His new track ‘Epoch’ is a gorgeous, ambient song with some more upbeat melodies compared to a lot of his other work. Using a vintage-style synthesizer, this song oddly reminds me of the stage production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. Well planned and arranged, yet juxtaposing with some raw and organic vibes makes the song come together really well.
